Dr. Bree Belford was born in the USA and grew up in Connecticut. After obtaining a physics degree, he went on to study and practice Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Los Angeles, California. He studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle and is a Career Medical Officer (CMO) in Emergency Medicine. He has worked in a number of hospitals in NSW both on a staff and locum basis. He was Co-Director of Emergency Medicine at Mona Vale Hospital and Acting Director of Emergency Medicine at Campbelltown Hospital in the 1990’s before shifting to providing procedural anaesthetic and sedation services for a number of medical and gynaecology clinics and dental practices, He currently specializes in IV Sedation and Pain Control for dentistry and is one of the most experienced practitioners in the field of sedation for dentistry. Bree maintains full-time practice for over 100 dental surgeries in Sydney.
His other major interest is Martial Arts having begun training in Karate at the age of 12. He currently holds the ranks of Rokkudan (6th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Aikido. He is also an active stock market trader.
Professor Robert MitchellGuest Speaker
Professor Robert Mitchell holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the University of Sydney and a Special Stream Fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery through the RACDS and has been a registered Specialist Maxillofacial Surgeon in New South Wales since 1986. He specialises in surgery to correct jaw deformity (orthognathic surgery), temporomandibular joint problems and neural injuries, as well as carrying out the general range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures such as removing impacted wisdom teeth. Robert Mitchell was appointed a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney in 1990 and continues to lecture to under’ and post graduate students at the University of Sydney.
Professor Mitchell practices at St George Private Medical Centre at Kogarah and lives in the inner west of Sydney. Professor Mitchell also holds a National Coaching qualification in Olympic weightlifting and has represented Australia as a competitor and official on 7 occasions. In his spare time he coaches elite weightlifters at the Burwood PCYC in Sydney.

Dr Hollander graduated from Melbourne University in 1989 and completed the Melbourne Hospital internship. She started her first practice in 1993. Her main interests are oral surgery, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. She regularly attends continuing education courses in all facets of dentistry.

Christine currently is the only board registered Maxillofacial Prosthodontist in Australia. She holds the position of Head, of The Department of Oral Restorative Sciences at Westmead Centre for Oral Health and is the Clinical Co-ordinator of the DCinDent Prosthodontics’ program for the University of Sydney; within this program Christine currently co-ordinates the unit on Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, as well as supervising in the clinic.
